It was almost serendipitous, certainly not something she’d planned. A notice in her letterbox on the way out this morning had caught Laura’s attention. And now, with a clear head, she knew it was the right thing to do. A gift of forgiveness. She had to shake any anger she felt toward Tom and release him of his guilt. And that was what this gift would do.
