“Ah!” I screamed when the water from the kitchen tap touched my hands. Pain shot through me and I yanked my hand back, cradling it to my chest.
When I looked down, I saw that my skin was starting to blister. “Aiden!” I called out, panic rising in my chest. “The water…. It’s… it’s burning me!”
My heart was pounding in my chest as I realized what had happened. The water in the sink was tainted with wolfsbane.
I cried out, dropping onto the floor, as pain started spreading through my muscles.
“Noah!” Aiden rushed into the kitchen and met me on the floor. I howled in agony, my vision blurred, and I could feel myself passing out.
“Wolfsbane.” I managed to point my hands toward the direction of the sink. “In … in the… the water.” With that, I passed out.
