The news about the hunters being back in town was a bluff. Or at least, for about three weeks, we didn’t see or get attacked by any of them.
That still didn’t stop me from advising everyone to be vigilant and careful whenever they went out. Especially while hanging around in the woods.
I was a little bit relieved and was happy my father didn’t get to find out about it and stress himself out. There was no doubt he was going to drop everything he was doing at Sparkle Falls, the neighboring town, to come to our rescue.
Father had gone over there to rest for a while and take a break from Hawkins. He was the Alpha of the pack for a very long time. He was a good one at that but I couldn’t say the same about myself.
After the incident with Aiden and Noah, they hadn’t really spoken much to me. Aiden easily forgave me because we were brothers and it was inevitable for brothers to fight.
Noah, on the other hand, didn’t give me a time of the day. She didn’t even want to look at me. I know my words were really harsh but I was just a little bit jealous seeing them hanging together.
“Noah,” I called out her name as she walked past where I sat at the fountain side. She ignored me and acted like I was invisible and kept on walking to the main door.
I took one last drag and pressed what was left of my cigarette on the ground, then I went after her. “I’m talking to you, Noah,” I said, wrapping my hands over her arms and pulling her back.
She jerked my hands away from her. “And I’m ignoring you.” She shot me a deadly stare. “Can’t you take a hint? I don’t want to speak to you.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say all those things.” I smiled at the look of shock on her face when she heard me apologize.
Since I had been treating her badly for the last few years, it was quite strange for me to care about her and apologize. It was also unusual for me to apologize to anyone.
I wouldn’t say I completely cared but I just didn’t want to see her with someone else. I had Becky but I couldn’t stand seeing Noah and Aiden together.
“You didn’t mean to say all those things?” She asked, letting out a scoff afterwards and my lips curled into a frown.
“Yes, I didn’t and I’m sorry.”
“Okay.” She raised a brow at me and walked into the house without saying anything else.
She hadn’t forgiven me but she didn’t hate me as much as she did the last three weeks. I walked in after her and went upstairs to my room.
Even though she was still upset with me, I had spent enough time with her to know the soft spot she had for me was still there.
Her behavior and obsession over me had changed over the past few weeks but I could still tell she wasn’t completely over me.
It was the weekend and Becky was meant to come over but I didn’t want her to be in the house with Aiden and Noah present, so I decided to spend the night at her dorm room instead.
[I miss you, baby, are you on your way yet?]
Becky’s text message popped up on my phone while I fastened my belt over my trousers. I picked up the phone from the bed and responded to her text before grabbing my car key.
The drive to her dorm was roughly about 30 minutes. All eyes were on me as I walked through the hallway filled with college students.
They didn’t know who I was but I was hot and dating their resident queen, so it wasn’t surprising everyone stared at me with lust-filled eyes.
We kept our identity secret from the humans. They couldn’t know they were mingling with werewolves or we were going to have to move away from Hawkins.
There were only a few werewolves from my pack attending Becky’s college. Most of them didn’t care about school.
Becky, on the other hand, had a handful of her pack members going to school with her. They took education seriously.
“Hey babe.” Becky smiled at me and engulfed me in a tight hug as she opened the door to let me in.
She had asked her roommates to leave the dorm for the night. They all respected her because she was kind of popular and was the queen bee there.
All three of her roommates were also werewolves. She couldn’t put her secret at risk by living with humans.
“I missed you,” I said, grabbing her ass and kissing her soft lips.
“I missed you too.” She smiled, leaning into me as we kissed. “It’s been so long.” She groaned and whimpered at my touch.
"It’s just been seven days," I whispered against her lips. “But let’s make up for lost time.” I lifted her and took her to the bed.
Her eyes twinkled with mischief. “Yeah, let’s make up. I have a few ideas.” With a coy smile, she tilted her head to the side drawer and brought out a condom.
She squeezed it into my palms and gave me a seductive smile. “Strip for me babe,” I ordered her and stood up to put on the condom.
While she was undressing, I overheard some people whispering to themselves in the hallway.
“I heard he’s a werewolf.” One feminine voice spoke.
“Shut up, werewolves aren’t real.” Another girl scolded her.
“You’re so naive, he’s even the Alpha of his pack.” A different voice spoke this time and it was a male’s voice.
“So what is he doing here and how do you guys know all of these?” The second girl asked.
I didn’t listen to the rest of their conversation, I just turned to Becky who had been listening to them with me.
Nobody knew about werewolves at the university, so I was shocked to hear them talk about it. I thought the secret was safe but I was clearly wrong.
“Don’t worry about it, I’ll take care of it.” She said as she saw the worried expression on my face.
