Kayla came up from her sleep when she sensed the earth moving underneath them. Her sister was already wide awake and hiding behind a boulder. Knives in hand and she was alert. She didn’t even acknowledge Kayla’s presence when she crawled over to Raine. “What is it?” Kayla asked her sister.
“I don’t know. I just know it is something big.” Raine replied.
They squatted further down when they felt them near. “Do you think it knows that we are here?” Raine asked Kayla.
