Boccob’s strike came out of thin air and she couldn’t believe that she let her guard down and not see his attack on Byron.
Byron’s pulse was weak. A second ago it was all over the place. He was suddenly nervous and she felt a pinch of suffocation in his lungs. Byron was poisoned.
Boccob did all of that with just a touch of his hand. Kayla started to wonder if her and Raine’s power was going to be enough to stop him. He is a god after all. It didn’t even surprise Boccob when Garrett fought him, took Byron and disappeared. He actually looked pleased and it sickened Kayla. All she wanted to do was run after Byron to check in on him but she had a feeling that Boccob wasn’t going to let her go anywhere.
