“His name is Todd,” I replied and there was a sly smile on his lips.
“I don’t care about his name but my proposal, i am offering you a life changing opportunity.” I managed a laugh that echoed in the room. "What makes you think that I care about your proposal, if I care about that, I should be in your arms for long now.”
His gaze sharpened, a dangerous glint entering his eyes. "Lily," he purred, his voice dropping to a low, menacing growl, "don't be foolish. Think of all the things you are hung to miss if you don’t accept me. The power, the prestige, the life I can give you."
I scoffed, "Miss? I’m not going to miss anything, Marcel. Not a single thing you represent." My tone leave no room for argument, even though he was powerful more than me, I didn’t want to back down.
