The truck bounced over the rough gravel road. Three weeks ago, I lost the most important man in my life. Life goes on, but the hurt is there every morning when I realize dad’s no longer alive. So much has changed in the three weeks since he died. Having Willow back in my life is what I needed in this trying time. It’s like dad’s making sure we both realize what we have in each other.
My foot let up off the gas as I neared my first destination and pointed the truck towards the cemetery entrance, driving to the back.
