Nicolai's car screeched to a halt beside the bridge. He, Kent, Samantha, and Clara jumped out, their eyes scanning the surroundings. Nicolai's nose twitched as he sniffed the air, homing in on Jasmine's scent.
"They went through those woods." Nicolai growled, pointing towards the forest. "That's where her scent is coming from."
Samantha nodded. "I caught her scent too, Alpha."
Nicolai took off in a flash, his pack close behind. They weaved through the trees, stopping occasionally to sniff the air and track Jasmine's scent.
As they delved deeper into the woods, a cottage came into view. Nicolai's ears perked up, focusing on the sounds within.
"I hear their heartbeats." Nicolai whispered.
Kent nodded. "I hear it too. My guess is there are five or six of them, including Jasmine."
