I had gone on a long journey to get where I was. For real, it had been quite a long one. I could see it all in my head as though it happened the night before. I remembered the feeling, it was clear, it was strong. I recalled how I would often find my jaw trembling as though it had a mind of its own, my hands shaking whenever I came in contact with human kids. They laughed at me. Some even tried to bully me. I couldn't blame them. They felt I was this socially awkward kid who was just a total ‘pus$y’. They thought I was scared of them. If only they knew the first person I had ever gotten afraid of was myself.
Dark memories indeed.
