It Elle's first day off in what seemed like years. Now that both of her roommates were working, she had the entire apartment to herself for the day. She decided to call of the dog walker and instead start her day of by taking Tiger for a walk in a nearby park. The dog had grown considerably, but was still quite small. She always found herself resisting the urge to carry him everywhere and instead let the leash do its job. As she mindlessly trailed after the excitable canine, her phone rang. Al was on the other end.
“Hello?” she answered hesitantly. It was a Wednesday, after all. He rarely, if ever, called this early on a weekday.
