Chapter 19 — Shadows Lifted

The twins emerged from Shadow Mountain at dawn. Lightning still streaked across the sky, but the air was lighter now, no longer heavy with dark magic.
Elyria looked at Selene, smiling. “We made it.”
Selene returned the smile. “We survived… and we’re together. That’s what matters.”
Raven stood nearby, shaking his head with a grin. “You two make a terrifying team. Seriously. Don’t ever leave me alone with you again.”
Elyria laughed, feeling the weight of fear lift from her shoulders. “Not a chance. We stick together now. Always.”
They looked toward the horizon. Shadow Mountain loomed behind them, a dark reminder of the battles fought and the dangers they had overcome. But beyond the mountain, the sun rose, casting golden light over the Ancient Vale.
Selene’s hand brushed against Elyria’s. “What now?”
Elyria thought for a moment. “Now… we rebuild. We find those who were lost, protect those who need help, and make sure no one else suffers under the Coven’s shadow again.”
Selene nodded. “Together.”
As they walked toward the rising sun, the medallion around Elyria’s neck dimmed, its warning gone. For the first time, it felt like a symbol of hope, not danger.
They had faced darkness, fought through shadows, and survived.
And now… they were free.
