" Hey Chris","What's up Alpha Luca" "I told you to just call me Luca when we are in the office." I grinned across the room Luca, "Dude, I never know when your flavor will come running in" "UGG I wish Laurie would find her mate, I don't want her.. Quit calling her my flavor, she thinks it's a compliment". Luca really needed to put his foot down on the un-mated females in our pack, the Dark howlers. They were all over both of us. Luca was just appointed Alpha by his Uncle because he wanted to retire. We were both 30 and had not found our mates. His Uncle and Aunt wanted to travel. Their only daughter had found her mate years ago and moved across the ocean to be with him. They wanted to spend time with their grandpups while they were still young. Part of the stipulation of Luca becoming Alpha was that, "We", the Alpha team, went to all the mating balls. But we kept having problems with the smaller packs we supported having their young women go missing. This last time it was the Quarter Moon Alphas twin daughters that are missing.

"Alpha hey are we going to that fall ball? Kenzie wants to know so she can go shopping" Tim hollered as he entered the room. Luca growled, "TIM do you have to be sooo loud? And yes but no, You and Kenzie can go with our un mated people, but Chris and I have to go to Quarter moon to figure out where the weakness is, Alpha Don had cameras on the border and his daughters still vanished.

Just as Luca finished, in barreled Kenzie "Tim, did you ask him?"

"Why are you both like this? Its like the goddess said we needed to have the loudest gammas in the state" I exclaimed mid-laugh. "We should be going to the ball" grumbled my wolf, Cyrus. "I know bud, but there's a lot of missing girls and we need to find them" I reminded him. "Yes but our mate" " Might not be there, we should have already met them" "But I think she's going to be there," he growled at me. "You good Chris?" Luca asked, all three of them were looking at me. " Yeah, why? Just have a talk with grumpy" Kenzie laughed " He must be extra grumpy, cause you were growling"

"No we are good, he just really wants to go to the ball", "Gautier was like that til this morning, now he is confused and agitated", Luca look on with interest. "Maybe your mates are finally near, because thats Murdock behaved before we met Kenzie" Tim and Kenzie looked at each other with complete lust in their eyes. "Knock it off, you maybe right Tim but we can't we promised Alpha Don we would arrive tonight, his Luna is sick with worry." Luca exclaimed. "All right, lets come up with a list of warriors to go with us to Alpha Don's territory and we can travel with the ball company to almost the full way to Blue Mountain, Chris you should phone Alpha Lawrence and see if he is missing any un mated young ladies. Tim, you and Bernie figure out how to divide for guard rotation and training while we are all gone. I want our group when the Fall ball ends to come straight back to the pack. Unless they are mated to someone in another pack, everyone returns." Luca brought out his tablet and started to get to work. I jumped on my laptop and proceeded to pick out the warriors that had asked to go to ball, and separate the rest into rescue party and guards for the pack.

Kenzie coughed, breaking the weird silence of typing "Boys have you thought of how your rooms are going to look, for your mates when they do arrive? Which by the way, I agree with Tim, they are close." Luca looked up at her, I just stared over the top of my laptop "No? Why would it.." "Chris's room probably still smells of pizza and Luca with the amount I have to keep kicking flavor out of your room, no Luna of mine should have to deal with her, let alone smell her all over your room." Luca and I both groaned, we love Kenzie, she's an amazing gamma female, already looking out for our mates without knowing them. "Kenzie, could you please have housekeeping do a thorough clean on both rooms and make sure Laurie is on the group bus for the Fall ball?" "Why yes Chris, I would love to make sure that the most desperate female of our pack is out having the time of her life." Kenzie cackled with glee, "Maybe she will find her mate, or perhaps a chosen fool" Luca replied quickly "If she finds a chosen, she does not need to return to the pack, Tim, make sure she gets her pass to join her mates pack asap." The whole room filled with laughter.

Luca called his uncle, I got up to leave. "Chris, hold on." He held up the phone, "Uncle". Luca put the phone on speaker "

" Hello boys, I hear we are not going to a mating ball? That goes agaist the stipulations and promises, Luna Sara " I WANT PUPS" quipped over Alpha Sam "Dear, they know. Well want to explain?" Luca looked at me "Alpha Sam" "Sam, son you are Alpha now" "Sam, Uncle.. Alpha Dom had his twins kidnapped yesterday. I know what we promised, but he has been such a huge help and great friend to our pack that I cannot NOT help him. Chris and I have come up with a solution. We will travel with our group almost the full way there before we branch off. I have already ran this past Alpha Matthew, and he will be sending warriors with us to help look for the twins as both packs have had girls kidnapped recently. "" Alpha, our wolves are not even happy with us not going to the party, so Tim thinks that our mates are near" I said. "Ok, well done, I approve of this plan. I think that Sara and I will be traveling home within the month. The kidnappings are concerning, and you might need back up for leadership of the pack". "Especially if we are going to be having a Luna ceremony! Oh! my grands are up, you boys are doing great. Come on love, lets spoil our grand pups an fill them full of sweets before we give them back. "The phone shut off, both Luca and I burst into loud laughter. " Poor uncle, I don't think Aunt will ever be done causing mischief." I smile, Luna Sara was always spoiling pups, didnt matter who they were in the pack. She is a very well loved Luna. "Let's go pack, meet in the foyer at 1750, so we can go over the plan with Tim and Kenzie before we announce it to the pack at dinner." "Sounds good" I said as I got up to leave the office.
