POV: Isadora
Now, I looked forward to his classes so much. I counted down the days and hours just to see him again. He hadn't changed a bit, still as strict and intimidating as ever. I was the one who saw him differently now. When I looked at Professor Anderson, I saw Henry. I knew that behind that tough exterior was a kind, funny, charming man who was making my days a whole lot more fun.
He’d really taken the "text me whenever" thing to heart. It was common to get a text from him late at night and stay up talking until the crack of dawn. We barely talked during the day, obviously because he was working and, theoretically, so was "Anne."
I had to flesh out her backstory as we got closer. Besides saying she worked in marketing, I made up that she’d just moved to Boston from a small town, lived with a roommate, and was 28. I was afraid he’d think she was too young if I said she was my age.
So far, it was working. He didn't suspect a thing, and we were talking more and more.
"Alright, that’s all for today.", he told the class. "See you next time."
I watched him while he packed up his things. He grabbed his phone, stared at the screen for a few seconds, then shoved it in his pocket and walked out.
"God, that class felt like an eternity!", Ryan complained. "That guy’s lectures are always such a drag."
I didn't say anything, mostly because there wasn't a single class of Professor Anderson’s that he didn't complain about. I just grabbed my stuff and gave him a quick goodbye kiss.
"Wait, Izzy!", he called out before I could leave. "Are we going out tonight? I was thinking about that hotel with the killer view, remember? I can book the penthouse suite right now.", he smiled, already expecting a "yes."
"Oh, tonight? I can't. I already promised my mom I’d do something with her.", I lied. I wasn't in the mood to hang out with Ryan, let alone sleep with him.
"Again? Babe, it’s been a week since we went out.", he replied, clearly annoyed.
"I know, I'm sorry! But you know how my mom is. She’s always asking me for favors and I can't exactly say no."
"What if I talk to her?", he stepped closer, tilting my chin up. "She always makes an exception for me."
"No, no need!", I said quickly. "Tomorrow. We can go out tomorrow, I’ll be free.", he gave me a thoughtful look and finally nodded. I almost sighed in relief.
When I got to my car, I felt my phone buzz.
Henry: [Hey, morning]
Henry: [Sorry for the late reply]
Henry: [Overslept today]
Henry: [Had to rush to work and still ended up a few minutes late]
I laughed.
Anne: [I told you it wasn't a good idea to stay up talking]
Henry: [Yep]
Henry: [So it’s your fault]
Anne: [How is it my fault? I literally warned you]
Henry: [But you didn't stop talking to me]
Anne: [Did you want me to?]
Henry: [No]
Henry: [But that’s besides the point]
Henry: [Still your fault]
Anne: [hahaha]
Anne: [You really know how to use those prosecutor skills, don’t you?]
Henry: [You haven't seen anything yet hehe]
I smiled.
Henry: [Sucks that I couldn't go for my run today]
Anne: [Run?]
Henry: [Yeah, I usually wake up at 5 am to run]
Anne: [5 in the morning?]
Anne: [You're joking, right?]
Henry: [haha I'm serious]
Anne: [Liar]
Anne: [You’re bluffing]
Anne: [Nobody wakes up at 5 am to run]
Henry: [hahaha]
Henry: [Want me to prove it?]
Anne: [I do]
Anne: [Send me a video at 5 am, while you're running]
Anne: [Then I’ll believe it]
Henry: [And what’s in it for me?]
Anne: [I’ll send you a video of myself, then we’re even]
Henry: [Deal]
I put my phone away. Dammit, Isadora! You're playing with fire. He always did this to me, made me impulsive. By the time I realized what was happening, I’d already messed up. Wasn't that exactly how all of this started? I got into the car. But maybe it wasn't that dangerous; I just wouldn't show my face. Plus, who knows when he’ll actually send that video, he might even forget. I started the car and brushed it off.
We spent the rest of the day chatting about other things, and around 9 pm he went to sleep to make up for the night before. I stayed up a bit longer to study; I needed to get my grades up, not just in his class, but in others too. Honestly, I was starting to realize I hated Law school, which was a nightmare considering I had to graduate.
By midnight, I couldn't read another word. I went to bed frustrated that, once again, I’d read the same things over and over and understood basically nothing.
The next day, my alarm woke me up. I tried to turn it off, still half-asleep, and jumped when I saw a notification from Henry. It was 7 am, but the message had been sent at 5:30. My heart sank, it was the video. I sat up fast and grabbed my headphones.
The video was a bit dark and showed an empty trail. Unfortunately, he wasn't in it; he was just filming his point of view. The camera was shaking a bit because he was moving while filming.
"So, do you believe me now?", he said in the video. His voice was even deeper than usual, and he was out of breath. I could clearly hear him breathing between words, like he was whispering right in my ear. For some reason, I found it incredibly sexy.
I lost track of how many times I rewatched it. Most of the time I wasn't even looking; I just wanted to hear that heavy breathing, that deep, breathless voice. And then, things spiraled. My eyes were already closed, imagining him breathing heavily behind me, asking me right in my ear if I believed him. The video might have been short, but my imagination was running wild.
When I started feeling that heat between my legs, I couldn't resist. I moved my hand down quickly, desperate for release. I was already soaking wet. My God. All I had done was listen to his voice. That was enough to make me incredibly turned on. I completely lost control, rubbing myself frantically while his voice looped in my ears. When I hit my limit, I exploded in an intense orgasm that left me breathless.
I stayed in bed for a few minutes, trying to recover. I checked the time, it was 7:40. Great. Today I was the one who was going to be late, and this time, it was his fault.
