I don’t know how I got through eight hours of work Monday. I walked around like a f*****g zombie, surprised I didn’t get hurt or even killed. Finally, it was three o’clock, and I almost ran all the way, not even stopping at the pool hall. Walking through the front door, I said “Hi” to my mom, walked to the front room, sat on the couch, and picked up the phone.
