We ended the softball season on a high note, giving Rollie a couple of trophies to put behind the counter. Pete, Little Joe, Bobby, and Butch joined the Mexican Bowling League on Sundays. I wanted to, but closing the pool hall on weekends was a priority I couldn’t give up. We had gone back to carpooling for the last weeks of the season.
