I loved walking around downtown Chicago, all the tall buildings, the traffic, the people, and, most of all, the women. We’ve been working now for over a year. We like the job, and the pay is good. We each have a car, so we no longer have to carpool. Larry and Augie are married now, and I think Barb is pregnant. We don’t see each other much anymore, except on the weekends. Sunday is our only day to play ball and have a couple of beers together. I’ve sat on our bench several times, but it doesn’t feel the same. (I wonder what she’s doing now.) I’ve talked to Jeannie a couple of times. She says the last time they spoke was when Molly was in her first year at college. Since then, nothing. All the time they talked, Molly never mentioned me.
