Julissa’s POV
Ashton has been back a week and so far has kept to himself. He’d smile at me when we passed each other in the hallway but so far he hasn’t made a move. I started to relax a bit that maybe he had moved on.
I just finished changing Rhys’ diaper when there was a knock at the door. Thinking it was probably Julius; I picked up Rhys and carried him to the door with me before opening it.
However, it was Ashton. My eyes grew wide in terror, and I tried to hide Rhys, but it was too late. Ashton was staring right at him, and I knew that he knew this was his son.
He licked his teeth and pushed past me into the room.
