Julissa’s POV
I’ve seen Ashton upset quite a few times, however, there was something in his eyes that was different. He left me standing there and I gulped, my mouth was dry, and I was feeling nauseous. When it came down to it, I couldn’t choose him over my newfound mate, I didn’t understand why. I’ve known Ashton forever, I just met this mate yesterday.
I left the classroom and bumped into a hard chest. I looked up and let out a squeak, “Roman, what are you doing here?”
He smiled gently at me, “just making sure that Ashton didn’t push you too far. I saw him pull you out of the classroom.”
“Oh, thanks.” I rubbed my hurt nose and gave a small smile.
“Do you feel like returning to class or do you want to skip?” He asked.
“I know I shouldn’t skip, but I kinda want to.” I admitted.
