The small SUV slid to a stop outside the apothecary. It looked the same as before, except now the colorful glow of neon was missing and the lights were off. The store had long since closed for the night.
"Why are we here? It's the middle of the night, shouldn't we be looking for where she lives?" Mort asked, but followed Lily as she ran toward the building.
"Well, while you were…um…distracted, during our last visit, I noticed that there were stairs in the back that led to a second floor with an Employees Only sign above it. And from outside it looked like there was an apartment up there. I'm hoping that’s where she lives. See?"
