CHAPTER 5

VIOLET

"Violet? Are you up?"

"Yeah. I'll be out in a minute."

"Breakfast is ready."

Living under one roof with Aiden has a huge advantage for me. Imagine, living in a huge apartment rent free, then he does all the cleaning and cooking because I can't cook. He's afraid I might burn and ruin his kitchen if I continue cooking or hurt my self because I don't know how to hold a knife properly. I was literally banned from the kitchen. Honestly that made me happy.

MEANWHILE AT THE STONE RESIDENCE...

The old Mr. Stone is furious while Oliver stone is kneeling Infront of him.

"You are such a useless son." He then hit him up with a baseball bat.

Just then Mrs. Stone came. Old Mr. Stone stops and look at her wife.

"I'm teaching him a lesson. Don't you try to stops me."

"No, I'm not here to stop you. I'm here simply to watch."

"Mom, please help me this once. Save me. I promise I will do everything you want from now on."

"Everything I want? You think I don't know what you are doing this whole time? "

"Mom, I know I'm wrong. Please save me." Oliver pleaded.

" I only have one task for you and that is to marry this girl named Violet Thomas and you can't even keep her."

"Mom, I promise I will make her get back with me."

"Are you sure?"

"Y-yes!"

"Okay honey hit him five times to make him remember that actions have consequences."

"Mom! Mom!"

"That's only five hit. Bear with it."

After that Mrs. Stone left the and the room was filled with screams of pain.

"Violet Thomas what really my parents saw in you that they wanted you so badly to marry into the Stone family?"

VIOLET

"So tell me, what happen between you and your boyfriend after that night?"

I don't know why but somehow I became a good friends with Ciara Wyatt. It turn out that we work at the same company just in different department.

"Correction, ex boyfriend."

"Ooohh...so you did broke up with him."

"Yeah! I've been an i***t for three years hoping to get the love I deserve but apparently, he never intend to give that to me since the beginning."

I told her everything that had happened that night after we part ways including the things that happened at the coffee shop, how I was dragged to car and almost got assaulted and about Aiden saving me.

"That friend of yours, I want to meet him."

"Are you going to steal him from me?"

"No way! I have a boyfriend. Don't worry I just want to meet him."

"And who is this person that you want to meet?" A familiar man said while walking towards me and Ciara.

"Brian, how did you know I was here?" Ciara jump to her feet and clung to his neck.

"I saw you while I was passing by."

"Oh! By the way Brian this is my newly found friend Violet Thomas. Violet this is my boyfriend Brian Addams. He works at security company. If That Oliver bothers you again just call me okay."

It turn out that Ciara's boyfriend is the head of the security in my security company. Its just a small company that I started to help those kids who always got into fight. And Brian was the very first person that I helped.

" Miss V-" I intently look at him and signal him not to expose anything.

"Miss Violet, nice meeting you."

"Nice meeting you too."

" May I borrow my girlfriend, if that's okay." he politely ask.

"Sure."

We bid goodbye with each other. Brian look back at me for a twice and only nod at him.

In the afternoon after work, Aiden and I decided to go to the supermarket and buy some supply. We are like newly wed couple always asking each others opinion.

"Looks who's here? Violet Thomas. My dear long lost sister."

I instinctively look at the person behind me. It is Ivy Thomas , my half sister. She was a product of my fathers infidelity. After my mother found out about Ivy's existence, she then vanished without a trace. After a month of my mother's disappearance, father brought back his mistress and love child.

The mother and daughter then took over the house and burn all the things that reminded us with my mother. Just like that they became the new mistress and young mistress of the house and I turn into nothing.

I rolled my eyes and push my cart away from her.

I don't want any interaction with her because just like her name, her mouth is full of poison too.

"Are you avoiding me?"

Yeah, you're right I am avoiding you. I don't want to talk to you, I don't even want to look at you.

But of course I only said that in my head.

"Munchkin what to you think about this?" Aiden appeared in front me holding two variety of laundry detergent.

"I don't know, I never do my laundry."

I was so busy that I don't have any time for laundry so I always go to the laundry shop.

"Okay, then lets go with this two." He then put both detergent in the cart.

"Munchkin? Violet, who is this man? Are you cheating?"

I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"None of your business."

" Oliver is such a good catch yet you still cheated. Wait!" She pretend to gasp. " You two are living together are you?"

I turn to face her. This half sister of mine always never fails to annoy me.

"Tell me young man, are you my sisters boy toy?"

Aiden ignored her and starts to punch the cart towards her almost bumping into her.

"You! How dare you bump into me?"

"I didn't . But at this rate I might do as well kick you."

"You bastard! Do you know who am I?"

"I don't care who you are."

"I am Ivy Thomas the heir of the Thomas enterprice."

"Oh, so you are the Ivy Thomas that people are talking about."

"See, you actually know me." Ivy smugly said while crossing her arm.

"Still, I don't care. Now move."

Ivy didn't move instead she starts cursing at Aiden.

" Ivy right?" Ivy nod her head.

"Just like your name your whole personality is like that flower, poisonous."

Aiden push the cart while looking the grocery list in his phone.

Ivy was left speechless. She stomp her feet several times before leaving.

I was amazed at Aiden. He was amazing. I almost clap my hands.

"Violet, you need to stay away from that woman." Aiden said seriously.

"I know." I sigh. "You stay away from her too."

"Hmm."

Ivy was never up to good things. She was like a poison in my life, killing me slowly. She always covets erverything that I have. So I fee, like she's up to something again. I need to be prepare.
