Chapter-12 As I approached the Ransomify's hideout, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. The building was heavily guarded, with armed men patrolling the perimeter. But I didn't let fear get the better of me. I had a job to do, and I was determined to see it through. I took a deep breath and stepped forward, ready to take on whatever lay ahead. I snuck into the building through a window, taking out guards as I went. I had to be careful, as I didn't want to alert the Ransomify to my presence. As I crept through the darkened hallways, I could hear Emma's voice calling out to me. It was faint, but I could hear her calling my name. "Detective! Over here!" I followed her voice, taking out guards as I went. I could see the fear in her eyes as I approached, but I knew that I had to remain calm. "Stay behind me," I said, pushing her behind a pillar. "I'll protect you." I could hear the Ransomify closing in, their footsteps getting louder by the second. But I didn't let it deter me. I had to protect Emma, no matter what. As the first wave of Ransomify soldiers appeared, I sprang into action. My training kicked in, and I fought like a man possessed. My fists flew, and my feet kicked out, sending the soldiers flying. But the Ransomify was a formidable foe. They had soldiers coming at me from all angles, and I was hard-pressed to defend myself. Just when I thought all was lost, I saw Emma pick up a g*n and start firing. Her aim was true, and her shots rang out, taking out soldiers left and right. I couldn't believe my eyes. Here was this innocent girl, who I had set out to protect, fighting alongside me. It was like something out of a John Wick movie. Together, we fought off the Ransomify, taking out their soldiers one by one. We were a force to be reckoned with, and nothing could stop us. As the last of the Ransomify soldiers fell, Emma and I stood there, panting and gasping for breath. We had done it. We had defeated the Ransomify, and we had saved Emma from their clutches. It was a moment I would never forget. And as I looked at Emma, I knew that we had formed a bond that would last a lifetime. We had been through hell and back together, and nothing could ever break us apart. The End
