My whole body is on high alert knowing he is the other side of that curtain. I can barely breathe as I rub soap into my body.
I turn the water off and consider the best way to grab my towel when a hand pokes through the curtain. The towel held out toward me. I take it before swiftly covering my body.
“Thank you,” I say as I pull back the curtain. He holds out a second, smaller towel for my hair. He leads me over to the hamper and sits me down, only not facing the door. He then begins to remove his clothes.
And…
I stare at him shamelessly.
His toned stomach creates that perfect V down to his…
His fingers hook into his boxers as he begins to pull them down. My eyes dart to the towel in my hand. His feet move as my traitorous eyes sneak a peek at his ass as he climbs in the shower.
The tension in my body is high as the water runs. I use the towel to dry off my hair but my eyes stay trained to the shower curtain.
The water turns off and I avert my eyes just as the curtain pulls back.
“Could you pass me the towel darling?” His voice is full of amusement.
I stand and grab the towel off the bathroom side before taking a few steps toward him. My eyes are averted but my cheeks are burning hot. My hand brushes against hot, hard abs and heat rushes through my body.
Drakos takes the towel but catches my wrist before I can move.
He pulls me closer so my body is pressed against his. My eyes flutter closed at the sensation.
“Look at me darling.”
My eyes snap open and focus on his.
“Every inch of me is yours. Do not be embarrassed for looking.” He whispers the words and my skin tingles.
Mine.
I hold his intense gaze and my lips ache to be upon his.
His hand moves from the side of my face to my neck. “Don’t look at me like that baby, especially when you are practically naked before me. I only have so much control.” He places a hard and fast kiss to my mouth before stepping back. He wraps the towel around his waist and takes my hand. He leads us back into his room and toward the closest.
A knock sounds at the door before it bursts open.
“Drake-“ Josiah calls but his words die off as he sees us. His eyes flit between us both, wrapped in just a towel. And then he storms out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
“Knock and wait asshole!” Drakos shouts after him with a shake of his head.
After getting dressed I make my way downstairs with Drakos and we head to the dinning table. I am surprised to find another chair beside the Alphas chair. He pulls it out for me and I smile before sitting.
“Morning,” Issy greets as she enters the dining room and sits down. “It’s good to see you two in the same room today.” She smirks and I roll my eyes at her.
“I am glad you are here Issy, after breakfast I need you to take Cleo shopping.” Drakos says and I look to him in surprise.
“What are we shopping for?” Issy asks and takes a bite of blueberry muffin.
“A ceremony dress,” he says causally.
I know he told me that he wants to claim me today but the reality is only just sinking in.
The ceremony is performed in front of the whole pack and entails the male mate biting the female. It also brings forth the females wolf. It is normally completed past the age of eighteen. However, it can legally be done from sixteen in werewolf law.
Issy gapes at Drakos. “Already? But Cleo is not even eighteen yet.”
He raises an eyebrow at Issy, “I can ask someone else to escort my mate shopping if you wish.”
She quickly recovers and scoffs at that. “I don’t think so, she is my best friend, not just your mate.”
They argue over me like a chew toy.
Josiah finally joins the table but sits quietly to eat his food.
“Our parents will be back this evening, just before the start of the ceremony,” Drakos tells us all. “We will leave for the warrior camps tomorrow.”
“We?” I ask surprised. I have not yet graduated.
He looks to me, “yes. My wolf would not manage to be away from you darling.”
I shake my head, “I want to stay here and graduate first. It is only a couple of months. Then myself and Issy will join the warrior camp like everyone else.”
He assesses me for a moment so I challenge him with my eyes.
“I was not asking. I am staying here to graduate.”
Issy coughs to cover up a laugh at her brother’s expense. Josiah looks down at the table with a smirk.
“We will talk about this later,” he glances around at his siblings.
I shrug and take a bite of my toast.
