The Dark World

Liam Got up from his king sized bed and stretched letting out a sigh of relief.

He turned around facing his bed with a grin on his face. “Oh yeah I AM good” he said staring at the two ladies laying half naked on the bed. “OK ladies, time to go” He said in an increased tone.

The girls grumbled as they stood up from the bed and rushed out quickly. Liam slid the glass door and went into his blue tiled bathroom. He turned on the shower and began taking his bath.

Minutes later, he stepped out with his body steaming and his wet black hair shining. He wrapped a towel around his waist when his phone suddenly rang.

“Yes, hello?” he said immediately as he picked up the phone.

“Hello sir, would you like to use the official car? Or will you be driving to the office today?” The female behind the phone said.

“Actually I won’t be going to the office today, cancel all my appointments” Liam responded as he puts on his underwear and followed up with his black and white ripped jeans and a plain white T-shirt. He sprayed his deodorant which smelled like sunflowers and strawberries that were mixed together.

“Well another day to hit on Dames” he said as he left his bedroom and closed the door behind him. He went down the stairs and slowed down as he saw his older sister Nina holding a teacup leaning on the wall beside the staircase

Liam just walked right past her and headed for the kitchen.

“I see that you had an interesting night” Nina said walking right behind him.

“Nina, what do you want?” Liam asked uninterested in anything she had to say.

“Well I came to let you know that I have a challenge for you” she said dropping the tea cup on the table in the center of the spacious kitchen.

“Not interested” Liam said as he pulled out a drink from the refrigerator.

“It’s a girl” Nina almost quickly shot at him. Liam paused as he was got his drink open.

“I’m listening” he said smiling at Nina.

“Okay, first of all, here’s the deal, she must never know that we are half demons, and secondly if you can successfully gets her to fall for you I promise to never meddle in your s****l affairs again” Nina said sighing heavily as she rolled her eyes.

“Deal” Liam immediately agreed with the terms and conditions that had been put on the table.

“But if you don’t succeed, you get a girlfriend and stick with her” Nina continued as she expressed an evil smile.

“Fair enough” he said as the both shook hands.

“So when do I get to meet her?”

“you will find out soon enough” Nina answered as she headed out the door.

Liam just stood still in silence for a moment and followed behind closing the door behind him.

The dark world was a city of colors ironically.

The sounds of cars and pedestrians moving around and the sun is shining so brightly reflecting on everything.

Liam stood outside looking around him and did a few hand signs and immediately he vanished from the spot where he was standing and appeared on the beach.

“Whoa, how did you do that?” a little kid who was standing right behind him asked.

He moved closer to the little girl and stroked her hair.

“A magician never reveals his secrets” he responded with grin on his light skin face.

“Don’t tell anyone okay?...its our little secret” he continued putting a finger over the little girls lips.

She nodded and ran along to play with her friends.

“Holy s**t!” a lady with long black hair who also looked like could be in her early 20’s exclaimed.

She squatted to pick up the fliers she was holding in her hands.

“Need help?” Liam asked as he approached her also squatting and helping to pick up the remaining papers.

“Thanks a lot” she said gratefully with a smile.

“Don’t mention it” Liam answered. “So what are all these for?” he continued as held one of the fliers in his hand.

“I’m helping a friend out, she’s opening a new restaurant” the lady replied.

“Well I hope it works out, for you both” he said supportively with a smirk on his face.

“So, I’ll be going no—“

“Wait!, what’s your name?” she asked a bit shy interrupting him.

“Liam, yours?” He responded.

“Gwen”

Liam nodded his head and walked away.

Later at night, when Liam got home he found the door to his home wide open. He walked in slowly and headed to the living room where he heard some funny sounds. As he got closer, the voices got louder immediately he felt he was close enough, he reached for the light switch and turned them on.

“Oh, f**king hell” Nina screamed.

“What the hell Nina, what the actual f**k?”

Liam said obviously sounding pissed at her.

“I thought I always told you to always shut the door behind you when you come in”.

“I did” Nina shot back at him.

“I did, but I used my demonic powers to get it open because I knew you were coming” Nina was now speaking to him telepathically. “Oh yeah, there’s someone i want you to meet”.

Liam looked so confused and started to walk closer into the sitting room and saw a lady sitting down at the other end of the living room.

“Liam, meet Gwen, the lady friend i had told you all about”.

Liam directed his eyes toward her and coincidentally their eyes met.
