Confessions

I opened my eyes slowly staring at the ceiling. "Ouch" my head was banging hard. I forced myself up looking around. I was in Amy's room. "What the hell" I whispered wondering what had happened, suddenly i could hear footsteps approaching the room. I fisted my hands waiting to see who would come in. The footsteps stopped. And after a few seconds, the door began to creak as it was pulled pushed open. It was Amy. She closed the door behind her and widened her eyes when she turned around and saw that i was awake. Amy froze right in front of me as tears rolled down her eyes. She quickly ran attacking me with a hug. "Easy, everywhere hurts" i said with a smile as i returned the hug. "Oh sorry" Amy said as she pulled her body away from me taking a few steps back. The room went silent for a few minutes leaving only sound of the T.v that was turned on echoing in the living room. "Thanks for saving me" Amy said ending the silence as she looked down to her feet and both hands behind her back trying hard to avoid eye contact with me. "Its okay" i answered as i used every bit of strength i had to sit by the side of the bed. Amy began raising her head slowly and our eyes met unexpectedly. She gasped and walked back to the door. "Uhm we—w—-well I'll be waiting for you outside" Amy said closing the door behind her. As she left i paused for a minute staring at the door. I wasn't sure of what i was seeing, was i hallucinating?. There was a pigment of different colors forming some in-scripted words that I didn't really understand. I moved closer to the inscribed words and stretched out my hand about to touch them when Amy came back barging in. "Put on a shirt, were stepping out together". She said as she was going back out the door. "What were you doing?" She paused for a minute. "Nothing" I answered her picking up a plain red shirt on the reading table. After i had worn it i motioned my hand signaling i was ready to go.

"I wonder why she hasn't asked any questions concerning all that's been going on" i thought to myself as we walked together down the street. "Where are we going anyway?" I asked. Immediately Amy stopped in her tracks. "We're here"

"Where's here?" I still asked trying to figure out exactly where we had been strolling to for the past 10 minutes. Amy grabbed me by the arm and pulled me in the direction of an old coffee shop. She pushed the door and looked around for a moment. She spotted a free table at the right end corner of the shop. We both sat down, in that instant a lady walked up to our table, it was the waitress. "Hello, welcome, what will you be having?" She said with a grin. "Latte please" i answered.

"Water is fine thanks"

I looked at Amy with an eyebrow raised.

"What?" She said noticing that i had been staring at her.

"You bring me here, to a coffee shop just to order water?"

"Not really" she responded with an evil smile. "Let me know if you need anything" the waitress said walking away after she had dropped our orders on the table. Amy sipped her water and was about to speak when I interrupted her. "Look, I don't know how you can be so calm about what's been going on this few days?" I paused for a bit. "Aren't you scared? Afraid? Worried? Hell, do you think its a good idea to be around me right now?

Amy just remained still and quiet not uttering a single word. "Look i think you shouldn't be around me" i kept talking as i stared at her, "if anything should happen to you I wouldn't forgive myself, i myself am still trying to figure this stuff out". I was about to keep talking when Amy placed a finger on my lips from across the chair she was sitting on so i could shut up. "I'm not going anywhere, if i do then who will look after you?" She responded with an expression of sincerity on her face.

"I want to be here for you, its my choice not yours" she continued "so let me help you". Amy widened her eyes and nodded slightly not giving me a chance to object. "But why would you make that kind of decision?" I asked still worrying about her safety. Why would she put herself in danger for me?

"You know I won't let you get involved in all this... I'm sorry but I can't le—-"

"Because i love you!" Amy said loudly cutting me short. My eyes widened as i gazed into Amy's eyes. "Huh..what?" I stammered. Did i hear her well?

"You love me?" I asked trying to be sure that i hadn't mistaken what i had heard. Amy just nodded.

"I love you too" i said under my breath looking into my mug with my latte in it. Amy raised her head as if trying to process what she had hear me say.

"You know....I've had these feelings for a while now, i just never knew how to express them" Amy said playing with her glass if water. "I know it might seem like I'm coming on too hard but I really do love you and I understand if you don't want to have this conversation right now" she continued. I was lost of words that I didn't know what to say. I myself have been in love with her too but couldn't bring myself to tell her. I always felt scared.

After a few seconds had passed i began to feel my head getting light. My eyes were getting shut and i could hear Amy call out my name. Suddenly i passed out. I was back at the void. Why was i here?. I turned around and my demon was standing there.

"WELCOME" he said with an intimidating aura.

"YOUR PAST, YOU NEED TO KNOW"
