Once we get out of the water and Alessia curses me for almost fifteen minutes for getting her hair and the bandages on her leg wet, I try to make her happy again by teaching her a little Italian as she asked me to. That gets her to calm down a bit and she sits on the river bank, looking at me with her full attention as I try to explain the basics. I explain how to speak to someone, the most commonly used verbs and words and that's all I can manage. Alessia nods as if she's in school and once I'm done, she tries to teach me some Spanish words, but I give up on her lessons after five minutes because it's too complicated for me. "Would you like to be a teacher?" asks Alessia out of the blue, looking sideways at me as she splashes her little feet into the water. "No, not at all," I laug
