AMERICA 2050 "BREAKING NEWS: Today, the 24th of July marks a very tragic day in the history of mankind. Meteors have been sighted yesterday in outer space, and unfortunately, it's on due course to earth. Governments of the world have gathered here in the US to decide the way forward, a way in which man can survive. The meteor rocks , unfortunately once again, are widely spaced apart, meaning that the meteor would last for about nineteen to twenty one hours. The implication of this statement is that it will likely affect most parts of the globe. The government has advised citizens of every country to stay at home no matter what and that they should desist from going out for the twenty one hour time range. You are advised to get whatever you need within the next four hours as the first meteor is expected to appear in the earths atmosphere by seven sixteen this evening. If you're homeless, you should go to the nearest government warehouse of any government facility in your vicinity as the rocks will be blown to bits by the United Nations air strike team to reduce damage done by the rocks on impact. The composition and temperature of the rocks are yet to be known but it is advised to stay as far away from the rock shower as much as possible. Stay safe, stay alive and live well. This is Nancy Trace, the United Nations broadcast." the reporter on the television said. THE WORLD TODAY A meteor shower occurs at several locations on the earth, 24th of July 2050. The governments of the world attempted to reduce the damage done by the humongous rocks by nuking them, but that was just the beginning of the end. Where a new story began. Years after the shower, scientists started analyzing the composition of the rocks in an attempt to find it's origin and the planet it was broken out from. It was quite a shock to them when the rock material wasn't anything on the periodic table or known to man. Years after this discovery, numerous scientists form all over the world met to discuss and address this issue. It was noticed that most of the rocks were made from a common element, which they decided to call Amorite. Since then they had been thinking of useful ways to utilize this scanty resource and in 2065, they succeeded at using the rock to generate energy. It was said that a gram of the rock could light up New York for twenty minutes, and after this discovery, the whole world went mad looking for it. It became the most important and expensive substance on earth making diamond look like cheap copper. A secret organization called The new era was created by the United States solely to find this resource and to bring it to good use. The president at that time wanted to use it to make America the most powerful nation in the world, but to do this he needed an invincible army. A special type of suit which uses Amorite was created, which could make people have similar abilities as the iron man in the movies. only eleven of these suits were created due to the lack of enough amounts of Amorite and the resources to build it. The new era sought out worthy candidates to don the suits and become America's best soldiers, the Armour-men as they were to be called. A biological means of obtaining superhuman power without the suit was also experimented, hence, the serum was created. The serum was designed to give a human special abilities and fuse it with his DNA making him invulnerable, but it was needed to be tested on humans, hence leading the organization to test subject 101, Julian Compton. AMERICA 2072 My name is Julian Compton, a twenty-year-old black man born in a country called America, a place I've come to know as hell. My life began on a cold winter night in late December 2052, when I was born into a family struggling to make ends meet. My dad, James Compton, was a tall and brooding man whose job was a mystery to me as a child. He spent most of his time frowning, as if the weight of the world rested on his shoulders. I never saw him smile, never heard him laugh. He was a ghost of a man, haunted by his own demons. In contrast, my mother was a ray of sunshine, always managing to find joy in the smallest things. Her hobby was cooking, and she could whip up a meal with whatever ingredients we had, no matter how scarce. She was the glue that held our family together, the spark that kept us going. Despite their differences, they both instilled in me a sense of hope and determination, which would become essential tools in my fight against the injustices of this cruel world. Growing up in a world that seemed designed to hold me back, I learned to rely on my own strength and resilience. And as I grew older, I began to realize that my life's purpose was to challenge the status quo, to fight for a better future, and to never let the hellish world around me define my worth. When I was about six years old, I was already able to read and write. Then my dad bought books for me and my mom told me stories. There was a story I read about when I was about seven about a country named America. A country where rights of blacks, whites or whatever colour of skin a human had was respected. Then I thought that that so called America was another country from the one I was born. Apart from their name they had no similarity. The racism in my town was minimal, because the town consisted mainly of black people, but you could still feel it with the way the white people in my town looked at us. They looked at us like we were walking devils.
