She stood on the edge of the cliff, the wind whipping through her hair as tears streamed down her face. She had lost the love of her life and couldn't bear the thought of living without him. It had been a beautiful summer day when they first met. She was walking through the park, lost in her thoughts when she stumbled upon him playing his guitar under a tree. Their eyes met and in that moment, she knew she had found her soulmate. Their love was a whirlwind, they were inseparable and nothing could come between them. They would spend hours talking about their dreams, their fears, and their future. But fate had other plans. On their one year anniversary, they took a trip to the mountains. They hiked to the top of the highest peak and as they stood there, overlooking the breathtaking view, he got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. It was the perfect moment and she said yes without hesitation. But the joy and love they shared was short-lived. On their way back down the mountain, a sudden storm hit. They were caught in the middle of it, the rain pelting them and the winds howling around them. In a split second, a bolt of lightning struck him, taking him away from her forever. She couldn't believe it, she refused to accept it. She clung onto him, begging him to wake up, to come back to her. But he was gone, leaving her alone in this cruel world. She fell into a deep depression, unable to find solace in anything. As the months went by, she found herself standing on that same cliff, the one they had visited on their anniversary. The memories flooded back, piercing her heart like a knife. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She could almost hear his voice, telling her to live on, to find happiness again. And in that moment, she made a decision. She opened her eyes and stepped back from the edge, choosing to live on for him. Years went by and she never forgot him, he remained alive in her heart. She found small moments of joy and happiness, but it was never the same without him by her side. She knew that she would always love him, even in death. And as she grew old, she found peace in knowing that their love was eternal, and that one day, she would be reunited with him in the afterlife. She lived a full life, always carrying a piece of him with her. She smiled one last time, closing her eyes as she took her final breath. She was alive, and it was all because of the love they shared.
