The Rainbow And The Pot Of Gold. A Psalm, according To The Lillies. Of The Son.
Growing up as kids we were told the tale of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, believing, we set out on our quest to the end of the rainbow in search of our pot of gold. We ran, walked, crawled, and now we're beat, our head keeps telling us to quit, why dont we just have a seat, how much longer can we bear the heat? we should just go back, but consider how far you've come, its a long way to go going back with empty hands and at a loss. Its better to just stop here,no point to keep going, but consider the long distance you've had to walk, it would've just been a waste of time and effort and all for nothing. I'll lay down here and rest,i can no longer rise from here, but listen to the sound that trembles the earth, that is the feet of multitude of runners on their own race, although every man's race differs and none is in a challenge with the other, you might just be caught in a stampede, and be made the earth for all to tread on.
The bottom line is this, there is no comfortable position to quit, there is no one else to blame but yourself when you give up. You lose two things, your pot of gold, and also your right to find out for yourself if there was actually a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and if with one more step you would've been able to get it. The race is not for the fastest or strongest but to the resilient and fearless of hearts. So am just gonna press on, take another step and one more step until i get to the other side where my large pot of gold awaits me for they that trust in the Lord shall not be put to shame but shall renew their strength, they shall mount up and soar high with wings of eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and be not faint. Alas, the sun shall soon shine. Awake, awake o my soul for dawn is near. Do not fear this thick darkness, it is always darkest when day is about to break. The sun shall soon shine, purify thyself, anoint your head with oil, be prepared and shine with the sun at the break of dawn. Be exceedingly glad, for as the first rays of sunlight breaks through an overshadowing darkness, so shall your light be as it breaks forth through the darkness as it rises with the sun. Arise o ye that sleep, awake from your slumber.
A thousand may fall at your right, or ten million at your left, be not afraid for they shall neither come nigh you nor harm you in anyway. Only with your eyes will you look and behold the downfall of the wicked. Do not be afraid of the pestilence that lays waste the earth, the Father is a fortress to hide you from His consuming wrath, in His loving grace. Let nothing trouble you for you bear on your body the marks of Christ. Have faith, ye that have been sealed from the times for your Savior is strong and mighty. The army grows, gearing up for battle. Although we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and power, rulers of darkness, we must put on our complete armor of God with which we overcome the enemy. Like sentinels on the wall, keep watch and be vigilant for the enemy lurks at every corner, listen for the sound of the horn. We are Sons And Daughters of our God. So
dare to be a Daniel, dare to stand alone, dare to have a purpose too and dare to make it known, heeding God's command. Many a times the storms of life can cause us to waver and be blown away, at times like this we are faced with a choice, it is much easier to choose the easy way out, go with the crowd, save face, avoid insults and mockeries. We must however consider that the crowd is not always right. At a time when man did what was pleasing in their own eyes, our father Abraham choose a path of his own and earned an everlasting covenant to father all the nations of the earth. “Let us go up and take the land for God has given them into our hands" said two brave Israelite warriors, and only them among over six hundred thousand Israeli warriors entered into the promised land. Anyone who prays to any other god except the god of the Babylonians shall be fed to lions, Daniel didn't care, he prayed to the most High and even when the lions encountered him, they humbly served as pillows for him to rest his head. It is a hard thing to stand out from the crowd, be different from them, as this might come with several trials, risks and even punishment, but this in the end pays with great rewards. Dare to be a Daniel, dare to stand by what is right, even when the norm is wrong, dare to deal good, even when life and people play you the evil card, dare to love, even your enemies, when all you have ever been fed is hate. Dare to be different, dare to be your own you. Have Faith My Brothers and Sisters, our reward is just a step away dear Sons and Daughters of Abraham. I know some times we may feel like it doesn't at all worth it, He still has not showed up for me, but remember when they said to Jesus, your friend lazarus is sick. Jesus replied, truly i say unto you, this sickness does not lead to death but to the glory of God, and He tarried there four days. Lazarus must have felt, o my friend has forsaken me in my time of need, He is not coming, He has left me to die in this terrible condition. We also feel that way when we are stuck in a hole and cant seem to climb out, we're trapped and in need of help and healing (be it in our dreams or family, or health or finances etc). We cry out but only our voices come for us as it echoes, you are running out of time, there is no more hope...or is there? Consider, though lazarus was already dead and buried as his friend and helper was four days late, upon His arrival He called out to His friend and though dead and buried, he heard His call and out he came. Turns out He was not late afterall, He was right on time. So why not keep the faith, stand strong for what you believe, He's coming for you, and He's never late. With love, Rey.
