The god laughed and pushed himself away from the pile of bodies. He soared ten feet into the air and crashed down upon Hadjar like a meteor. His sword moved with a speed that no sabre could match, but even so, the god shattered stone and sliced through the cobblestones of the square, not even touching the edges of Hadjar’s clothing. He was standing a full yard from where the blow had landed. “Quick, aren’t you?” The god lunged forward with the vigor of a young buck and swung his sword mightily. The force of his attack, the physical pressure of it alone, sent a gust of wind through the ranks of the Moon and Emerald soldiers alike, but once again, the god’s strike missed.
