As for Predatory Weapons and Soul Weapons, they were two completely different phenomena. And both were mostly related to powerful Spirits, demons, or gods. A Soul Weapon was a weapon that a divine blacksmith could forge from a god’s soul.
In fact, this was the kind of weapon that the legionnaires carried and the kind of armor they wore. And the strength of these weapons and armor depended directly on the power of the god, not the other way around. Why were they needed at all? Because mortal artifacts could not withstand the power of the gods and the most powerful demons and Spirits.
Just as the legionnaire on the right was pointing to his scabbard, his neighbor on the left was beginning to look somewhat... if not alarmed, then definitely interested.
