Cassian's grip on her throat tightened, his strength terrifying. "Samantha, you don't have the leverage to play these pathetic games with me. Don't even try it."
Samantha saw the wall of suspicion in his eyes and broke down, sobbing for mercy. "Cassian, you know me! I have no family backing me, I'm a divorcee, I've had miscarriages... even if you killed me, I wouldn't dare have the same delusions I had six years ago!"
