I already broke the bond.
Three hours ago. Three hours of agony that left me hollow and powerless.
But it hadn't been enough.
The infection kept spreading. Kept claiming my wolves one by one. Because I'd only severed my alpha connection, not theirs to each other.
They were still linked. Still vulnerable. Still dying.
And now Sera was coming. With Ember. With the final piece, the Primordial needed.
I stood in the empty pack house, surrounded by locked cells and dying wolves, and made the only choice left.
I had to sever all of it. Every bond. Every connection. Tear apart the pack completely.
Even if it killed them. Even if it killed me.
Dr. Chen appeared from the medical wing. "The ritual Reese sent. I've reviewed it."
"And?"
"It's insane. Dangerous. Probably fatal." S
