Chapter 3: Do not eat outside 2

My mom got home before my dad and I . when my me and my dad got home I got down from the car and ran inside to go and greet my mom.i saw my mom in the living room as I wanted to hug her she stopped me and gave me a dirty slap .I didn't know what I did so I began to cry ,then I asked her what I did to deserve such a slap she now asked me what oil was doing on my cloth.i began to stammer that very moment my dad entered when I saw my dad I started shivering because I already knew that I was in trouble.My dad asked what was going on? "she ate outside without anyone's consent " my mom said my dad then I heard a very loud slap Gbam! that is a very hot slap on my face.my dad also served me another dirty slap .Then he asked why should I eat outside after warning me never to eat outside.i now told him that I was very hungry and I could not hold the hunger any longer and my friend gave me some food to eat.My dad now asked me didn't I take food to school.Then I told him that I didn't and I did not even eat breakfast but my mom gave me two hundred naira and it was not enough. Are you okay atall? my dad asked how is two hundred naira not enough for you to spend?Are you working? No you are not and you are here telling me rubbish,my dad said to me.he said that if I should ever try it again that day I will regret coming to this world. "get out of my sight. God forbid it that you eat poison i***t" my dad said.

I left the living room to my room I cried for some time.
