The past few days had settled into a comfortable rhythm for Emma and Tom. Mornings were filled with shared breakfasts and quick kisses before Tom headed off to work. Emma spent her days polishing her resume, researching companies, and sending out applications. Evenings were for cooking together, curling up on the couch with a movie, or long talks about their future.
