Emma stirred from sleep, the morning light filtering softly through her curtains. She stretched lazily, a contented smile playing on her lips as she remembered the previous night. The bed felt warmer, more comfortable, because Tom was beside her. She glanced over, expecting to see him still sleeping, but his side of the bed was empty.
