Emma's heart pounded as she burst through the doors of the MK building, her eyes scanning the busy street for any sign of Tom. The morning rush hour was in full swing, a sea of faces and bodies hurrying past, none of them the one she desperately needed to find. "Tom!" she called out, her voice nearly lost in the cacophony of city noise. A few passersby turned to look, but there was no response from the one person she was seeking. Panic started to set in.
