People had been whispering all week. In class, in the halls, and at lunch people stared and pointed at us. Everyone was convinced that Jordan hit me, he'd done great to ignore it but I felt like even though my bruise was gone that I was walking around with a big neon sign on my head. Winter break gave a welcome rescue, at least for now. Christmas is in three days and then Jordan's parents are taking him to Colorado for a skiing trip for the rest of break.
