This time, Nathan signed. His hand shook the entire time. His signature was crooked, like a child's first attempt at writing his name. On the final stroke, the pen dragged a jagged line across the paper. He looked up at me, his eyes red as if he'd stayed awake for three nights straight. "It's signed."
