Chloe's POV
“Welcome,” Rhoda was waiting by the door as soon as we got home.
“Thank you,” I smiled at her as she collected my bag, but her eyes were squinted in a frown that she looked angry.
“Is something the matter?” I asked as I traced her line of sight.
“Jayden, let's go inside,” I grabbed his wrist and dragged him forward the moment I saw where her gaze was so fixated on.
She looked so angry at him that she could hit him.
“What's up, you must be very eager to continue from where we left things,” he whistled as he unbuttoned the top button of his shirt.
“I’m just very hungry, why don't we go have lunch,” I turned back to look at Rhoda while pleading with my eyes for her not to misunderstand. Instead, she mouthed, “it's okay, I've got you and I'm here for you,” she whisper
