Chapter 5

The day so far was quite the miserable one for Raya who no matter how she tried to ignore them could not move past the jeering hateful glares being sent her way, she grabbed the hem of her shirt most of time as she tried to make her way back to the class, the sound of her feet could not be heard over he ear as she dragged her jean cladded legs along

Then suddenly, it rang not only everywhere around the academy but in her ears drawing closer and closer with a vibrating noise to her eardrums, it racked her brains for reactions and tiger it, suddenly, her hand was no longer squeezing the hem of her shirt ,it was now on her ears to block whatever sound it was out and her once clouded face screamed and squeezed, for the first time ever more let out an unintentional series of sound and it was not what they expected

“Arggghhhhhh” she” she screamed for what almost seemed like years to her but only took a minute, she took a minute as the pain threatened to burst her, she tried to squeeze herself in two and glued her hand to her hair.

Everest in the hallway turned to look at her as they were not left out of the surprise, most laughed almost after imitating the sound of pain they heard from her but she didn’t even take notice as he head still on hands as she kneeled on the floor with it still between her legs and her body bent over

“What is happening to me?” that was all the thoughts in her head and for the first time in a while, she couldn’t hear her classmates’ thoughts, everything was silent except for the pang of pain that teared at her brain

“Did you hear it too? “Someone asked another who walked out of a class

“Yeah.” the person replied “that was definitely the sound of pain, right? Is she in pain because she is weak or something too? “the person asked

“it could be you know all her kinds are actually a weak bloodline which shouldn’t exist but are just being allowed to because of a crazy agreement our ancestors made years ago” someone replied with disgust evident in her tone

“She looks like she is in a lot of pain” the voice pointed out

“doesn’t she deserve to be?” the stranger whose disgust was painted all over hr. face asked

“I don’t think so” the voice replied and her footsteps started moving towards ray where she kneeled with her hands till over her ears, she couldn’t hear a thing even when this so-called stranger life her up and started carrying them her towards the academy clinic

People stared and even some snarled as Raya was being carried off by the stranger whose face she still hadn’t seen, after they had walked a good distancer was starting to return to earth and that was when she finally spoke

“Just who are you? “She asked the stranger as she stared at the flowing hair that covered a face that wasn’t interested in facing heishe struggled to get out of hey mystery girl’s grip but she just coudnn’t,somehow this mystery girl is soehow stronger than a nor al bloodsucker or vampire

“Where is she taking me?”Raya thought in her head

It wasn’t until she was made to seat on the empty bench did she quickly looked around her surroundings and then noticed they were no longer in the academy ,rather in somewhere that seemed secluded

She sat ,her body still bent over but mananged to look up but could only get fuzzy images of a girl’s back turned to her

“what do you want from me? Who are you? Where are we?” Raya was almost shouting as much as she could,the character who kept shy was gone and all it left behind was a raving vibe that was threatning to tear anybody’s face off

“Oh ,don’t be bothered among ,what I want from you, A formal introduction? Who I am? We were never anywhere, sweets” the stranger finally replied

Raya was slowly regaining her self back and she spoke again but this time, she was interrupted

“Just who are..- “

“Shh…” The mystery girl said but this time, her finger was on Raya’s lips who went mute

She could see the girl’s face clearly now but use couldn’t figure it out, was it the yellow eyeballs that stared back at her without emotions or the feeling of the warm index finger on her lips but either way , she could not speak anymore, she could only stare as the girl’s lips spread into a slight smile

“By the way, in here, I ask the questions . so Raya, what do you think about a little duo?”
