Claire followed Raya up the stairs to her bedroom. When she got inside, she was amazed at how empty Raya's room was. There was a bed, a reading table, and a closet that had a few clothes strapped around in hangers. There was the squeaky sound her ceiling fan made, which made Claire cringe. Her room seemed more like some depressed vampire teen than a half-werewolf, half-vampire girl. No color, just plain. Everything about her seemed odd to Claire, except the smell of her room.
