Claire was caught off guard by Raya's question. She was silent for a while but found the right words to say to Raya.
“Um..” Claire started to say, but she was interrupted by student commotion from the a floor above them. Raya too heard it and their attention was centered on the direction the noise was from.
“What was that?” Raya asked, going closer the stairway to know if she would hear it one more time.
“I don't know. Should we take look?” Claire asked. She looked at Raya to know what her response was going to be.
“Nah, forget about it. It's probably some bats.”
“If you say so?”
Raya went back to the kitchen counter, opening her cook book once more. Her finger had healed, and she continued to flip through the pages, this time, a little more careful. She still hadn't found a recipe
