Mrs. Watson set Raya and Marcus up for the next race. As Raya walked towards the tracks, she could hear the mumbling and murmurs of the students in her class. They never expected Raya to have any interest in racing or any physical activity. After all, she was weak.
“On your marks, get set, PAAAA. Mrs. Watson blow horn went off.
The race commenced immediately, with Raya starting off at a slow pace. Everyone cheered Marcus on, leaving Raya who trailed behind him. Before a winner would be announced they had to run three laps before stopping. Whoever completed theirs first, would emerge the winner.
Marcus was already on his second lap, and almost at last, when Raya heard Mrs. Watson yell her name.
