Chapter 5It probably shouldn’t have surprised Micah that when he asked for volunteers at the end of class, Elliot’s hand went up—with a lot less hesitation this time. His pale cheeks still pinked, but there was determination in his eyes that made Micah’s stomach tense and a little lower twitch with interest. He smiled his thanks, then dismissed the class with the same instruction to clean up after themselves before leaving. He didn’t have as much stuff to pack up today—he’d restrained himself after last week’s exorbitance and only had the remaining supplies that had been needed and a few key items to showcase—so it all fit into two boxes.
