Kayla's pov.
The next couple of days were filled with ladies of different shapes and sizes, going in and out of Adonis’ room.
He didn't even come to apologize for the way his girlfriend treated me when I came over.
Scratch that, I thought she was his girlfriend.
Turns out, the hot guy next door keeps multiple women to himself, and I ache even begin to explain how much it makes my stomach turn.
Funny how I took him for a cool guy and was even drooling over him.
He must not be a student after all, after that day he helped me.
I didn't even bump into him once, not even on the staircase or outside the building.
The worst times was at night, my room was directly behind him, and sometimes I fear that the walls would come crashing down on my head
Moans, screams and grunts filtered through the walls. I could not sleep and stayed up most nights.
One time I even slapped at the wall to get their attention.
Nope. It only intensified their pleasure.
That is it, he isn't the only one in this building, I am going to call the landlord.
After a long five minutes of berating and shouting at the landlord for renting the apartment to a s*x maniac.
I went to the kitchen to make myself coffee.
Few minutes later, the crazy noise died down.
I was utterly shocked, perhaps, the landlord put a call to him and he listened.
Goodness
I am glad it worked, now I can have moments of peaceful sleep.
I left the coffee untouched, it was for keeping me awake in the first place.
I hopped on the bed happily.
By morning, I awoke with the sound of constant knocking on my door.
Who the hell could that be?
I glanced briefly at my bedside clock
It's just eight in the morning and it's the weekend for f***s sake.
I stood up still groggy, slipped my feet into my flipflops and marched to the door.
Whoever was knocking was about to get an earful from me.
I yanked the door open ready to yell at the person.
The daze in my eyes cleared at once.
“Adonis?”
It's been an entire week and I still can't help but drool at the sight of him.
He walked in without an invitation, and I closed the door behind him.
I tied the knot of my nighty jacket securely.
“You still haven't told me what you are doing here.”
He turned to face me, his height towering above me like a high rise building.
“What the heck was that stunt you pulled last night?”
I blinked rapidly, no he did not.
“Excuse me?”
“You are excused, and I asked a question.”
He was referring to the call from the landlord. Maybe, I think it pissed him off.
“Listen, Kayla or whatever. No one tells me what to do in my apartment. Not even the landlord.”
I was taken aback by his attitude, gone was the nice guy I met on my first day here.
I have to show him that I was not one to be messed with either.
“Some of us are students in this building, and your constant sexcapades prevent me from reading and studying. I had to handle it somehow.”
He arched his brow furiously.
“By calling the landlord on me?”
“Well, I tried other means, you were just too engrossed in women that you don't care how it affects others.”
He took a step closer to me , the menacing look in his eyes got colder.
“I am also a student, so don't give me this bullshit of you studying. Plus, I've lived here for two years now. And no one, I mean no one has ever complained of my lifestyle. Just you.”
He's a student too. Just wow.
I gnashed my teeth hard, it's their business if they didn't want to complain.
I lifted my chin, just so he could see that I wasn't moved by whatever he thought he was doing.
“If that's all you came to say, then get the hell out of my room.”
His eyes roamed over me for a second.
His lips twisted in an uncanny smile.
“I see what this is.”
I eyed him thoroughly.
“What?”
“You want it to, don't you?”
My eyes widened at the realization of what he was talking about.
I let out a scoff.
“Ohhh please, you are not my type at all.”
“That's not what your n*****s are saying.”
I followed his eyes down, and saw that my n*****s were hard and pushed through the soft fabric so that it was visible to the eye.
I wrapped my hands around my chest.
I found myself coming up with a defense
“It's not even like that, that's how it gets every morning.”
“Yeah. Every morning after long hours of you listening and wishing you were the one on my bed.”
Heat crept up to my face as I turned away, he does know what he was saying.
I didn't even know he was inches from me until I looked up and his eyes locked in mine
Powerful, alluring and seductive all at once.
I stepped back until I bumped into a chair close to the counter.
“Tell me, Kayla.” He called my name in a slow, slurpy manner.
“Are you attracted to me?”
My heart began thumping fast and hard. I feared he'd hear it.
Wolves have good hearing and I know that.
His finger rested underneath my chin and tilted my face upward.
The next thing I knew, my hand swung and connected to his left cheek in a stinging slap.
I moved away from him.
“Get out of my apartment, now.” I shouted, heart thumping faster than before.
His face tightened as he inhaled deeply.
Hot breath came out of his nostrils as he let out the air.
He walked out of my apartment and slammed the door. Everywhere shook.
I nearly collapsed to the floor after as I clutched my chest tight
“What have I done?”
