Adonis' pov. I spotted her the second she walked into the cafeteria, sunset aurburn hair packed in a ponytail. Her long neck was tempting, and I just wanted to sink my teeth into it, give it a gentle graze. My hands went to my cheek were she slapped me two days before. Her small hand surprisingly stung, and my brain was sent to default straight up. Yeah, I was pissed, no one dares to raise their hand on me. Especially not some she wolf. One look at her and I knew she'd crumble If I had done anything, so I just left her Now she's here, ordering for food in the most delicate way I focused my hearing to listen to her voice from where I sat, my eyes keen on how her cute mouth munched on the food. An annoying cute little angel. She didn't notice me. Not until that fool, Simon called my name out loud. I looked away so she wouldn't catch me watching. With a smirk on my face, I'd show her how I would treat those who step on my toes A rule has been made, no humans where the wolves eat. Tony was just too stubborn, and this was not his first. Kayla already looked tense from where she was watching, so I'd give him a lesser punishment than I usually do. Before I knew it she was making her way out of the cafeteria. Not if I can stop her. She pretended like she didn't hear my call, the sleek cat. “Kayla Barnes.” Calling her full name got her to halt. I threw a look at Simon. “Handle this dirt bag.” The crowd had already dispersed from the show. I strode over to where she was standing. “I thought it was you,” I said with a smile. She didn't return the smile. “First time accosting you outside the apartment, huh?” “What do you want, Adonis?” “Whoah, easy there. Kitten.” I laughed shortly. “Do not call me that.” She snapped. Anger made her look even cuter. I love having a full dance at her face, very pretty “Will you just chill?” “Or what, you'd make me lick your shoes like you did with that guy?” That almost cracked me up. “Never, we never treat one of our own like that. It's just for silly humans who don't know how to stick to the rules.” “Our own.” She repeated. “Yeah, I mean , wolves stick together, right.” She waved her hand, an effort to dismiss my conversation. “Whatever, I'm leaving.” She brushed past me and made for the entrance. I blocked her with my broad frame. “Not so fast kitty, aren't you forgetting something?” Her lips tightened as she said. “I told you to stop calling me that.” I tucked both hands in my pocket, my face angled so I could watch her face “I deserve an apology, Kayla.” “For what? Keeping me awake during the first couple of nights or pushing up on me?” Hmmm, she was a stern one indeed. “Okay, maybe I did deserve the slap, but,” “No buts, “ she cut me off. “I should be the one getting an apology from you.” “What?” I blurted. “Yeah, your girlfriend, the blonde one. She slammed the door against my face when I brought a thank you cake for helping with my luggage.” I tried to recall the incident, but I couldn't, and I was never informed. “First off, Natalie isn't my girlfriend, and secondly. I didn't know she treated you that way.” She looked on as if expecting me to say more. “Is that it?” She spat. I was baffled, what was she expecting? “Aren't you going to apologize?” “Huh? I already told you it wasn't my fault. Why do I have to apologize for it?” “Urghhh, you are such a jerk.” She yelled. She pushed past me, storming out of the restaurant. So much anger in such a tender body. “Hey wait up.” I rushed after her. She didn't wait this time, kept on marching. Her legs were quick too. “I think we got off on the wrong foot.” “Says the guy that is too big to apologize.” She threw back “Damn girl, does the apology mean that much to you?” “No.” She whipped. I can't believe I was walking after her, I wouldn't do this if it were some other girl. “Okay, okay wait.” I said. She finally paused. “I'm sorry for pushing up on you like that in your apartment, it wasn't gentlemanly of me, and for the s*x noise as well.” She kept mute as I apologized. “And,” she urged. “No way, I'm not going to apologize for having s*x. Don't even expect that from me.” She puffed out air from her mouth “Alright, that works, we are good. Can I go now?” She is such in a hurry to get rid of me “Just one thing, let me make you dinner. I mean spaghetti and meatballs.” Her face relaxed a while, then she put her hands to her chin as though she was thinking about it. “Hmmmph, let me see, no.” “What, why?” “It's obvious what your end game is here, Adonis.” “I really do not know what you are talking about.” “Your plan is to get me to your apartment on the pretense of a dinner invitation. Then we'd end up having sex.” I scratched my head awkwardly, in all honesty, my mind didn't go that far, but I wouldn't mind if it happened. “Such a perv.” She hissed and stormed off. My eyes were focused on her perfect ass and hips. She has a killer body, but I haven't really thought of s*x with her yet. Definitely kiss. I really want to shut her up with a wet, steamy kiss. I watched her walk away into the distance until she disappeared from view. “Adonis, we've been waiting on you man, who's that hot one” Simon came up to my side “No one, let's get back inside. ” Simon smacked his lips. “I'd like to know her.” A low growl escaped my throat. “She's off limits, Simon.” I warned him I don't know why mood suddenly changed, but it has to do with Kayla.
