The Seven Throne

Reisa's Invitation

Unlike Lisa, who took me around to taste every dish there and have fun. Reisa is a girl who always serious and shows me important places in this city.

The city was built and divided into four regions with border walls separating each region. The first area is where trade and lodging are established. I saw quite a number of weapons and clothing craftsmen, maybe none were as good as holy weapons, but their quality was still good enough to be admired. This place has lodging for newcomers and adventurers. It's normal for adventurers to keep on moving between cities to get a lot of money and get stronger.

I used to have the desire to be an adventurer, but I can't do it, and it's even harder now.

The second area is the military area. This place has a training area to train soldiers and some were built for hire. This place is also a territory the Guild operates. The Guild building was built with black walls which were quite wide and had three floors.

Reisa and I stopped long enough in front of the Guild building, Reisa was offered me to look inside, but I refused. I can even hear quite a commotion from outside, maybe there are some people who are at odds inside, but Reisa says it's very normal in the Guild. I refuse to get involved in such a commotion.

The third area is a residential area of local residents, their homes are not built as good as the kingdom of Alvion, but their lives look neat and well organized.

The fourth area is the research area and the area where the nobles live. I quite understand how these people are separated into social castes, but I still don't like it.

"My family's house is in this area, would you like to visit briefly?"

I didn't expect to be invited just like that, but I was quite interested to look further.

"Actually the fourth area is not fully integrated, the research area and the royal house are separated in order to avoid a big risk when the experiment fails"

I see, but I'm quite curious about what they are researching. But Reisa forbade me to approach the research area, only those who had authority and registered people were allowed to enter. I'm certainly outside of that category.

We both keep going. I quite admired how all these buildings were built. All the houses are built very well and good design reflects the reputation of the people who live in it. Well, even though it wasn't as impressive as the palace or castle of the Emperor and the Kings, it was still a quite luxurious building.

We finally stopped somewhere. Of all the buildings in this region, the place before me now seems to have its own world. A three-meter high wall was set up in a circle like a border marker. The gate seemed to be made of some kind of iron and was quite strong and had a lion emblem on it.

Reisa opened the gate without waiting. What's in it there is a very large area with houses that are erected connected by a road made of wood like a bridge. One house bigger than the others seemed to be the center of this area.

The streets are filled with many small, smooth oval-shaped rocks, rocks producing pleasant sounds when rubbing together. Several water ponds and gardens filled with grass make this place feel more alive.

"Welcome back, miss."

Some servants approached us and welcomed Reisa.

"Please prepare some dishes and drinks, I brought my friend"

"As you wish"

They just left without glancing at me, maybe I was considered a stranger, so they didn't really care. Or for other reasons? Besides, their attitude was really cold in my opinion.

"Is there something wrong?"

Reisa asked worriedly while I was thinking.

"No, I just feel their attitude is too cold as a servant"

"Yes, you are right. They actually respect my sister more because she has more potential to be the next family leader. But I'm used to this treatment, so there's no need to think about it"

No ... Isn't that a painful thing? I never thought about it because I always get good treatment. But it turns out there are also injustices that occur only because of differences.

Reisa added.

"In three weeks there will be a struggle for the position of the next head of the family through battle, this treatment will end soon after it has been decided who will be the head of the family. So no need to worry."

"Is it okay to tell me this?"

I'm a little worried about how Reisa just gave her family internal information.

Reisa smiled softly in reply.

"No problem, we are friends. Actually, I want to ask for your help in this matter, but it doesn't work. You have other interests, I can't selfishly force you to help me."

I'm happy if you think of me like that. But I can't help much. I can only stay a few days until the weather is supportive enough to go through the sea. I can't postpone it for three weeks. In fact, it cannot guarantee that this problem will be finished immediately in three weeks.

Reisa opened the main residence door, I could see the servants standing on both sides of the hall.

"Welcome, miss."

Very formal welcome. Even I would be disturbed if I go through things like this every day.

Reisa led me to one of the rooms, it's the dining room. Inside is a long table and chairs arranged on two sides. Fruit basket and cutlery such as plates, spoons, forks, knives neatly arranged on the table.

Reisa invited me to sit while waiting for the servants to prepare the dishes.

Compared to her rude appearance when fighting, I currently see Reisa in a different light. All her attitude is very gentle and elegant which maximizes her beauty. If you ask which one is better, I will answer 'I like the current Reisa' without hesitation.

After waiting for a while, the waiters arrived with plates full of delicious dishes. There are some soups and grilled meat that still shows a thin mist indicating the cuisine is still warm.

I took the knife and cut the meat, I couldn't even feel like I was cutting something, this meat was so soft! The scent of the cut part tickled my nose, I could tell it was only from this delicious aroma.

But before I could put a piece of meat in my mouth, I heard the coarse footsteps gradually clearer and the door opened.

"Aaaaaaah! Sister invited Alif to eat, but why I wasn't told?"

Sania enters with a slightly annoyed face. I did not understand where the anger came from.

"Sania, it's not polite to disturb when someone is eating"

Reisa continued to put food into her mouth without regard to Sania's reaction.

"I don't want to hear that. More importantly, why did you tell the servants to stop anyone from approaching this room?! I'm so hungry after a long journey, you know?!"

I didn't even know that. But isn't Sania at another kingdom? How could she be in the Kingdom of Camelion now?
