The Good Girl Or Is She?

Chapter 2: Farmville Family Welcome.

Zyra finally finished saying good bye to her cousin and her best friends Jose, Mikey, Sean, Chase , Shane , Hunter, and Gabriel. Before she jumped in to the bronco for Mitch her Bio dad to drive her to the half point to meet her Bio mom Jamie for the child exchange as they called it even though Zyra was already 15 years old. Zyra listen to one of her w******l audio apps on her earbuds as she watched the scenery go by as they traveled north on the Florida turnpike to the meeting point which is a rest area right of the turnpike to which both rides can get back on and head their separate ways once the exchange is made and everything for the trip is transferred from one vehicle to another .

About two and half hours into the ride the meeting point came into view and Mitch pulled into the parking lot and they decided to go inside and go to the bathroom and grab food while they waited for her mom Jaime to get there. About ten minutes later Jaime shows up and pulls into the parking spot next to them and she is yelling at her 2 younger brothers for fighting with each other . Zyra heard every word because the WI does were down and Jaime was yelling at the top of her lungs it probably would have echoed inside the car. Jaime climbs of of the car waves and says "Hey, let just take these 2 heathens into the bathroom and I'll be back ." No problem, we're just gonna finish eating while your doing that." Mitch says as he waves her off.

Yes, believe it or not Mitch and Jaime do actually get along but they just aren't in love with each other. At one point in time they were actually married but they were teenagers and it only lasted 3 weeks. But, about 2 weeks after those 3 weeks Jaime found out she was pregnant with Zyra which caused some drama between both families but not really between Mitch and Jaime they still contended with issues from Mitch's mom and grandmother but every one else is over it and has beyond accepting of the situation in the last 15 years. But, the rest of those details might be revealed later on.

By, the time Zyra had finished her ham and turkey sub from subway Jaime and her brothers Eric and Brandon had finally made their way back to car screaming and yelling excitedly about getting getting to climb the bronco. If there is one thing the twins love it cars and they happen to think Mitch's bronco is monster truck. Which in their book makes it awesome and the best. Plus, it has real lights and horns and big speakers in the back along with bench seats on each side. So, of course it is liking a play ground on wheels for the 12 year old twins who keep being to learn how to drive it.

Meanwhile, Mitch, Jaime, and Zyra are all moving Zyra stuff from the bronco to Jaime's dodge intrepid sedan. Zyra is still listen to her audio app while the boys are playing and the parents are catching up like they didn't just spend 2 hours on the phone with each other yesterday confirming details and catching up then. when their done moving everything from one car to other Jaime turns around terror the twins to climb down and looks at Zyra and asks if she is ready to go home and see Lee (Zyra's step dad).

Zyra says "yeah, its been a while since I've seen him. It's been since Christmas and almost a month since we have last talked on the phone. Plus, I'm sure you want to get home before it gets dark and the twins get hungry ."Jaime smiles and says "Yes, I would that would be nice. Well, Mitch we will text you when we get home to let you know we made it and you better do the same. "Mitch says Yeah, I'll do that and you better not forget ." Mitch walks over to Zyra and gives her a hug and kiss on the forehead and tells her to text him later when she is settled in later on. He walks over to the boys and tells them he will let them flash the light bars as much as they want when he see's them next if they behave themselves and listen . Then, he bends down gives them each hugs and noogies on their heads meeting up there great and causing them to squeal and beg to be let down.

All the while the twins are laughing so loud that every one passing bye to stare and gawk trying to figure out the dynamic. Mitch finally lots the boys down and tells them to get in the car and Mahe sure they get buckled. Then, he walks over gives Jaime and gives her a side hug and says later and walks back to the bronco , climbs in and starts the engine with a loud roar of the hemi and waves as he backs out of the parking space and pulls away.

Zyra waves and then walks over to the car and opens the door and says mom let's go so I can see Lee and before it gets dark and the twins turn into hungry monsters. Jaime turns around climb in and says OK let's go . The boys decided that playing ISPY on the way back home was the best way to behave themselves and not get in trouble. Zyra had gone back to her audio w******l app listen to a novel written by her current favorite author of the week . All the while Jaime is driving along the turnpike jamming out to her 90's party list for R&B and rap which started with Salt n Pepper and played all the way to Boys 2 Men.

Almost 3 hours later they finally pulled into the drive way of her moms single family home of 4 bedroom 2 bath one car garage house with both an attic and a fully furnished basement.

By the time they started climbing out of the car Lee was already making his way down the driveway towards them with a huge smile on his face. He proceeded to walk over to Jaime and giving her a kiss and asking how the drive was and is there was any issues and if the boys have her too much trouble. Then he walked over to Zyra sweeping her off her feet in a full on bear hug asking her how she was and is she was hungry. Zyra, said she was pretty hungry but she didn't want anything super heavy. Lee said that was fine. But, far warning the whole rest of the family had showed there and wanted to welcome her home for the summer. Lee says" don't worry I won't let them hang around and harass you longer then needed. I will try to work on getting them out as soon as dinner is over. So, that way you get settled in and rest and start to feel confidante for a longer stay this time around instead of just for a week or two."

Lee and the twins proceed to precede her into the house and let's just say that Lee wasn't lying about the whole family showing up. There was standing room only in the house and you couldn't really move around but they showed welcome home as soon as Zyra came into view and popped a bunch of party poppers. Then, they all started talking at once and to be honest Zyra was used to big, loud, noisey groups of people she considered family but it was always out side in the car park, on the beach, on the pier, or during block parties. But, to be the center of attention in a huge group like this in the middle of this enclosed house was definitely over whelming beyond comparison for Zyra to handle and it started to send her into a anxiety / panic attack. Which isn't a good thing most times.
