"Jason! Jason, wait a minute!" Akira ran out the door after Jason." Jason sighs as he stops. "Akira, I do not have time for this." He huffs. Akira's eyes narrow as she shoots him a dirty look. "Excuse me? Don't you try to dismiss me!" Akira scolds him.
"You are not going anywhere until you calm the f**k down! You are not killing anyone, even if it is your father." Akira's face softened as she wrapped her arms around her lover's waist, holding him closely. "Look Jason, I know why you are upset. I get it. But you can't just go around threatening to kill people.
Please, just come back inside and try to chill, okay? The last thing I need is you running into someone that will piss you off in the mood you are in now. Please? Just come back inside with me? I can send Ed and Chris home if you want."
Jason stood there with Akira hanging onto his waist, his heart full of rage. He suspects Cree is, in some way or another, responsible for the murder of his mother. He is suspicious of the fact that him and Akira got personal invitations to a fighting tournament that he is hosting. But he will still attend. It will give him an opportunity to face his father for the first time.
Jason snaps out of his trance of fury and looks down at his woman, still holding onto him. He looks at her with blood red eyes and touches her back gently. Akira watching his eyes soften and return to their normal hazel with green flecks.
He put his face in her hair and kissed her head as he calmed himself down. "I love you so much Akira. Where would I be without you?" Akira did not like to think about where he would be without her. She knows how important she is to him. Since the loss of his mother, Akira is the only one that can help him calm the demon that courses through his veins.
"Probably on death row. No telling how many people would be dead already." Akira said under her breath. Jason smirked at her before scooping her up off her feet. "Well then it is a damn good thing I have you in my life, right?" Jason's voice was low and full of desire.
Akira looked around and saw their friends Eddy and Christina in the doorway. "Um Jason? Not now. We have guests. Also, we are in the damn parking lot." Akira laughed. Jason smiled, then kissed her lips before placing her back on her feet. He held her hand as she pulled him back inside.
A few days later, Akira and Jason woke up around three am to catch get ready to catch their flight to Anaheim for the trials of the Golden Dragon tournament. Jason starts a pot of coffee in the kitchen and Akira goes to the living room to wake Eddy from the couch.
"Eddy? Get up. It's time to start getting ready to leave." She nudges him with her foot. "Okay, I'm up." he says with his face still buried in the pillow. Jason pours three cups of coffee and places them on the coffee table before throwing himself on top of Eddy.
"Wake the hell up!" Jason yelled. "Son of a b***h! Get the f**k off me man!" Eddy exclaimed as Jason and Akira laughed. "Well, if you want to catch a ride to the airport then I suggest you get the hell up!" Jason snickered, following Akira out of the living room and into their master bathroom.
They stepped into the shower together, fighting the urge to make love in there like they usually do. Once they are both done, they both get dressed quickly and head back to the living room for a quick breakfast. Akira gives the boys a muffin and they sit at the table sipping their coffee as they wait for their ride to arrive.
After cleaning up the plates and cups, they cut off all the lights, then head outside to meet the driver. "Holy s**t. They sent you a damn limo just to go to the damn airport? First the first class tickets and now this? Damn!" Eddy gasped.
"Just get in so we can go, please." Akira rolled her eyes as Jason and Eddy helped pull the suitcases into the trunk. The ride to the airport was mostly quiet. It was still pretty early and everyone's minds were focused on the tournament.
Once they reached the airport, they unloaded their bags to get checked into their flight. They had an hour before the plane boarded, so Akira decided to facetime Christina. "Hey! How are you all doing?" Christina was still in bed with her hair all over her head.
"Hey baby! I wish you were coming. I'm gonna miss you." Eddy leaned into Akira's shoulder to see his girlfriend on her phone. "Aww baby! I'm gonna miss you too! Just beat everyone's ass, okay? I'll be watching." She blew Eddy a kiss and a wink.
Jason came from behind Akira with a cup of coffee and leaned over her to speak to Christina. "Hey Chris, you better take care of my dojo. I'm trusting you with my livelihood." Christina rolled her eyes and waved him off. "Yeah, yeah. I got it. You know I am qualified for this, otherwise you would have hired someone else. Don't worry so much."
"Christina, take care, okay? I will text you when we land." Akira said, taking a sip of her coffee. "Make sure Eddy calls me too, please. And if you see him flirting with other bitches, kill him." Akira laughed as Eddy leaned over her shoulder again, glaring at his girlfriend.
The flight from New Mexico to California was a quick, straight shot. Jason and Akira rode in first class as their invites included while Eddy flew coach. Once the flight landed, they met up with Eddy and headed straight for the hotel. They checked in and headed to their rooms to relax a little before they going out to explore.
"What time did you say the trials begin tomorrow?" Akira asked as she grabbed Jason's invitation letter from the night stand by their bed. "I think the paper says nine in the morning." he answered as he slipped out of his shirt. Akira confirmed it and placed the paper back onto the night stand before plopping down belly first on the bed.
"So what do you want to do today? I'm pretty hungry." she said, looking through her phone. "I'm hitting the gym. I want to scope out some of the competition." Jason said as he pulled his shorts up. Rolling her eyes, Akira huffed as she sat up onto the edge of the bed.
"Now? But we just got here. Can't you, at least take me out to eat first? It's not like I had breakfast." Jason kissed her lips before grabbing his gym bag. "I will take you somewhere when I get back, okay? Give me an hour?" He smiled sweetly at her.
"Fine, I'll just go see if Eddy wants to grab some food then." As Akira picked up her phone to dial him, Eddy knocked on the door. "Hey man, you ready?" he said as Jason opened the door. "Really? You too? Ugh!" Akira exclaimed.
"Just come down to the gym with us. You can see what other females are gonna be beating your ass tomorrow." Eddy joked. Akira shot her eyes at him and Jason laughed. "Come on, KiKi. Don't you think it's a good idea we find out who the competition is?"
Akira looked between both men before sighing and throwing her hands into the air. "Fine! You two go. I will get changed and be down in a few." She pushed them out the door and grabbed her work out gear to change into.
She put on her pink leggings, a black crop top and white sneakers. She pulled her hair up and grabbed her bag before heading downstairs to the hotel gym. As she walks inside, she sees a large amount of familiar and unfamiliar people.
Eyes are drawn to her immediately as she walks through the machines. While Jason is quite famous in the world of fighting tournaments, Akira has gained notoriety in her own right. She is a fierce woman known for her ability to compete against both male and female competitors.
She receives dirty looks from some women and lustful glares from some of the men. She tries looking around for Eddy and Jason, but is met with a smile from Master Paul. "Akira! Fancy seeing you here!" She smiles as she hugs her friend and mentor.
"Hey, Paul! The tension is pretty thick in here, huh?" Akira looks over her shoulder and laughs. "Yes, it really is. There are many old heads in here and the young heads are way too anxious for a fight." Akira nods as she scopes the place out. She sees a young guy with a cocky smirk on his face as he lifts some weights staring down Paul.
"Already making friends, I see." Akira giggled. Paul looked over at the man and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well you know me. Hey, speaking of friends. Where is Jason? You two came together, didn't you?"
Akira looks around trying to spot Jason and Eddy. "Yes, actually we came with Eddy. He got word of the open trials tomorrow and decided he wanted to join." Paul looked around, trying to help his pupil find her friends.
As she looked around the large, crowded gym, Akira felt a pair of strong arms wrap her up from behind. She was pulled into a hard, warm chest. She leaned slightly to the side to see Jason's face smiling down at her. "Hey baby. What took you so long?" Jason asked as he kissed her neck gently.
"I was looking for you two." Akira responded while laying her head back into his chest. "Ah, Jason. Nice to see you here. Of course I am certainly not surprised you were invited." Jason and Paul were shaking hands when Eddy walked up to the small group.
"Paul, hey man. What's up with you. man?" Eddy greeted him with a firm hand shake. "Well, I was just catching up with Akira. Are you ready for the tryouts tomorrow?" Paul questioned Eddy in an authoritative tone.
"Yes, sir. We've been training for weeks and I am definitely ready to earn my spot in this tournament, unlike you privileged folks." Eddy joked. They all laughed as he walked back over to the bench press. "Well, I suppose I should get to work. I'll talk to you later, Paul." Akira hugged her mentor and walked over to the mats and began to stretch.
"So I guess I will see you out there, huh?" Paul shot Jason a sly smile. "I'll see you out there, old man." Jason winked and they fist bumped one another before Jason made his way over to Akira.
