Kian
I watched her as she ran out of the arena, a faint chuckle escaping my lips.
When my father asked me to accompany him to the Valentino Pack to search for his missing Diamond Heart, I thought it would be a complete waste of time. But the moment I saw the little she-wolf running away, her hips swaying from side to side, I realized I didn't regret coming here at all.
The Valentino Pack was one of the packs under our kingdom. Whenever we visited, the waterfall was always my favorite place to relax. I had been soaking in the pool when she arrived, completely unaware that anyone else was there. Without even checking her surroundings, she began removing her clothes. Those sinful attractive body of hers makes my c**k harden with even trying.
I never imagined another soul knew about this hidden place.
A dark smile tugged at my lips as I recalled what had happened only minutes ago.
If she hadn't accused me of taking advantage of women, I would have claimed her as mine right then and there.
She was my mate...
Even though I already had a betrothed.
*We'll meet again soon, sunshine.*
I was about to leave when I caught a familiar scent drifting through the air.
I knew it immediately Lorenzo. My Beta and my best friend.
"Where have you been, Kian?" he asked as he stepped into the clearing. "I've been looking everywhere for you. King Alaric is ready to head to the Valentino Pack, and the convoy is waiting."
His eyes narrowed suspiciously.
"What have you been doing here?"
"What?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You're hiding something." He folded his arms before stepping closer. "Wait... have you been f*****g someone?"
Before I could react, he grabbed my collar and sniffed me.
I shoved him away.
"Mind your business, idiot."
He burst into laughter.
"I just hope you didn't scare the poor girl to death with your Lycan Libido.
Ignoring his nonsense, I walked past him.
When we reached the main road, my father was already waiting.
"There you are, son," King Alaric said. "It's time to leave."
My younger sister, Hapitha, smirked at me as though she knew exactly what I had been doing. I ignored her and turned to my father.
"Father, why don't we travel in our Lycan forms instead? We'll get there much faster than using the convoy."
The real reason, of course, was that I wanted to see my little sunshine again.
Hapitha opened her mouth to protest, but Father cut her off before she could speak.
"Very well."
Within moments, clothes fell to the ground as bones cracked and muscles shifted beneath our skin.
Power surged through my body.
Dark fur burst from my skin as I transformed into my Lycan beast.
We were larger and stronger than ordinary werewolves.
The moment my paws hit the earth, my wolf, Zac, growled with excitement.
Without waiting for the others, I shot through the forest.
The wind rushed past me as I raced ahead, leaving my father and the rest of the royal guards far behind.
In no time, the gates of the Valentino Pack came into view.
Whoever stole the Diamond Heart would pay with their life.
And as for my little sunshine...
We would meet again.
Camilla
I wiped the sweat from my forehead with the back of my hand.
I'd been scrubbing the floor for hours.
My palms were covered in painful blisters, and my knees ached from kneeling for so long.
Still...
As long as I didn't have to see the royal Lycans, I could endure anything.
From everything I'd heard, they were terrifying.
King Alaric.
Queen Sheba.
Princess Valerie.
And especially Crown Prince Kian.
People said they were the largest Lycans alive.
Heartless.
Cruel.
Merciless.
Rumor had it Prince Kian once killed a maid simply because she accidentally stepped on him.
They also said he ruled the Werewolf Royal Academy with an iron fist and that every student feared him.
Lost in my thoughts, I barely noticed the door opening.
Juliet walked in, with Carl following behind her.
I lowered my head and continued scrubbing.
"Still cleaning the floor?" Juliet asked with a mocking smile.
I looked up.
She looked stunning in her fitted red gown, like a model straight out of a magazine.
Carl stood beside her in a formal suit, his expression uneasy.
Seeing them together sent another sharp pain through my chest.
Juliet looked me over with obvious disgust.
My soaked clothes clung to my body, making me look even more pathetic.
"Mother said that once you're done here, you should clean the garden," she said coldly. "Every single leaf and every bit of dirt must be gone."
She was about to continue when the door suddenly flew open.
"The Lycans are here!" someone shouted.
"King Alaric has ordered everyone to gather in the main hall! Alphas, Betas, warriors, Omegas—everyone!"
My eyes widened.
What?
Why?
